Last week, I started a series, The Ultimate List of LEGO Holiday Sets. We've gone through sets that will work for you if you want to create a winter village and sets to help you fill out that winter village layout.

LEGO Advent Calendars

Today we'll go through the LEGO Advent Calendar series. These could have also been listed in Part 2 of the series, but since they have an additional function other than just getting added to a winter layout, we've given them their own post.

They're a great way to get filler pieces for any winter village builds. Each advent calendar comes with a mix of 24 mini builds - accessories and minifigures… more than enough to add some additional pizzaz to any holiday decoration setup you create. Below are all the advent calendars from 2016, plus affiliate links (at no additional cost to you – always), where you can purchase the past year’s advent calendars.

2025 LEGO City Advent Calendar (60475)

The 2025 advent calendar is going to be amazing! This year, you can expect to look forward to 3 costume minifigures: reindeer with a red scarf, polar bear with a blue scarf and a Christmas tree! We totally plan on purchasing more than one than one this year to get extras of these cute minifigs.

2025 LEGO Minecraft Advent Calendar (2128 0 )

This year's new entry to the LEGO Advent Calendar themes is Minecraft! This a solid first edition for this theme. With 8 minifigure & buildable figures, plus plenty of accessories, it's sure to be a hit with the Minecraft lover in your life. Oh, don't forget to check out Steve and Alex's Christmas sweaters. The blocky designs are so stinking cute!

2025 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (75418)

2025 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar (4266 8 )

This year's Friends advent calendar is all about a sleepover slumber party! You'll get 5 minifigs and their pets to create a fun holiday hang scene. This is a great set if you're looking to help boost someone's animal collection.

LEGO 24-in-1 Holiday Countdown Advent Calendar (40222)

In 2015, LEGO introduced a promotional set you could only pick up with a $99 purchase during the month of November. This is an excellent set for those of you that don’t necessarily need minifigures and want something you can rebuild over and over each year. You won’t be able to find the set in stores, but you can pick it the LEGO 24-in-1 Holiday Countdown Advent Calendar (40222) on Amazon.
