LEGO Christmas tree farm builds are some of my favorite things to see in the Winter Village community, especially when someone asks for inspiration and the response is absolutely overwhelming with creativity and support. That's exactly what happened when Sam Whiting posted in the LEGO Winter Village Facebook group asking to see everyone's Christmas tree farms for some inspo. And wow, did the community deliver!
There's Always So Much Creativity!

Matthew Scher jumped in first with a fantastic setup featuring a proper Christmas tree lot complete with a "Christmas Trees For Sale" sign. With only a few trees left in his lot, they also have great use of wood tiles for stumps.

Russell Clark shared what they called "not the best picture," but honestly? It showed this amazing gingerbread tree farm from a club collaboration. I love seeing collaborative builds – there's something special about LEGO bringing people together.

Heather Brannon posted a cute tree farm that she added to her village. She originally posted images of her farm by themselves and I totally get that feeling of having builds that are "almost ready" to join the main display. Sometimes the anticipation makes it even more fun!
Size Doesn't Matter (It's All About the Heart!)

Rachael Banwell won my heart with her comment "Mines pretty small" – but you know what? Her charming little setup is one of my favorites! I absolutely love the use of fangs for snow in the trees... and her snowboard hut.
Additional LEGO Christmas Tree Farms Inspo
Here are some additional inspo photos for you:

- Amanda Marsh Pace created a tree stand right in the front yard of her town's only actual house. But as you can see she's still building.
- An anonymous builder shared a festive scene with trees, a vehicle, and the Christmas Tree minifigure from the 2025 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar (42668).

Michael Archer shared an impressive winter scene with neat rows of trees. You can tell this builder has experience putting together cohesive displays.
The Details That Matter
What struck me as I looked through all these posts is how everyone approaches their tree farms differently:

- Brandon Bucklin created a cozy village scene (6 reactions)
- Steve Olsen featured a charming corner with a distinctive red vehicle (13 reactions – and I bet that vehicle is what caught everyone's eye!)
- Angel Huffman went vertical with a multi-level display
- Jennifer Julian incorporated train tracks (always a win in my book!)
- Ken Meinderink added colorful minifigures and signage (9 reactions)
- Rachel Kraut went with a clean, minimalist approach
- Carolyn Lloyd captured that perfect moment of families selecting their tree
- Aimee Atkinson-Tinkler featured vintage-style "Christmas Trees" signs and earned 17 reactions!

Sam Young with this dramatic overhead shot showing extensive tree placement – talk about commitment to the theme!
Why This Matters to Me
You know what makes me happiest about threads like this? It's not just about showing off builds (though that's fun too!). It's about how the community lifts each other up. Every single person who posted – from the most elaborate builds to the simplest setups – contributed something valuable. They gave Sam (and all of us lurking and reading) ideas, inspiration, and that little spark that makes us want to run to our LEGO collection and start building.
Christmas tree farms have become essential elements in LEGO winter villages. They add that perfect touch of seasonal commerce and activity. Whether you're featuring working trains, detailed signage, family-run businesses, or simply beautiful rows of evergreens ready to bring joy to minifigure families, these tree farms capture the magic of the holiday season in brick form.
