When last we were at the LEGO Store, I snapped some quick photos of the new elements in the Build-A-Minifigure bar. There are tons of new pieces! Some of these may have been in there from the previous quarter and I just missed them. So your mileage may vary when checking your local store.
LEGO Pick-a-Models on Pick-a-Brick Wall July 2015
When we visited the LEGO Store last, we also got a quick look at the latest Pick-a-Model build on our Pick-a-Brick wall. Say “snap!” for alligators! Or crocodile… as it may be, since I can’t seem to find information on the official name of the build. We didn’t get a chance to grab the pieces
LEGO Junior Vacation Fun Classic Brick Box Contest
In the new LEGO Club Junior Magazine, there’s a drawing contest for a LEGO Classic Brick Box. We hardly ever do the contests, but this time, I decided I’d let The Little Brick have a go. The idea for the contest is to draw Max on a summer vacation at his destination. So we spent Sunday
July 2015 LEGO Monthly Mini Build: Whale
Last night, The Little Brick and I went to our first, appointment-based, LEGO Monthly Mini Build. Let me tell you, it was quite a different experience from previous events…and I rather liked it! We arrived at the mall an hour early to play at the indoor playground and get some wiggles out. Already, I could tell
LEGO Minion Love
I have a problem… The closer the new Minions movie gets to release, the more I want to build a LEGO Minion. So I’ve spent quite a bit of time scouring the internet for others LEGO-built Minions. Here are some of my favorites… (Warning! This post is image heavy.)
Building the LEGO Empire State Building

Many of you have been coming to the website looking for information on the next LEGO Monthly Mini Build. I, like you, thought the registration would happen on the first of the month each month, but if you read the flyer below carefully (like I re-read it myself the other day), you’ll see registration doesn’t
LEGO Ideas: Underwater World
One of the things I love about LEGO is the reinvention of the original purpose of a single brick. Where a brush isn’t just a brush, a snake isn’t just a snake…and to see the amazing combinations people create is awe inspiring and humbling at the same time. It’s one of the reasons I really
Humble Bundle LEGO Books for Summer Reading
How does getting a few LEGO related books for less than MSRP sound to you? Good, right? Well, you can do just that in the latest Humble Bundle from No Starch Press! Among your choice of no less than 4 LEGO books, you will also get books on programming for kids: From the Humble Bundle
Amazing Enchanted Forest MOC
Once again, Eurobrick forums do not disappoint! I was visiting for another parts id, when I ran across a thread for this amazing LEGO Enchanted Forest MOC. Come on…admit it… you know you’re secretly a fan of Cinderella. Or at the very least, the little kid inside you that would stare in awe at the
