Each year, I work on keeping my older blog post series, The Ultimate List of LEGO Holiday Sets, updated with all the new sets that have come out for the year. With this notice, you can continue reading on as this post has been updated for 2025.
For today’s list, we’ll be looking at sets useful for filling out a winter village layout. While the theme sets in the first post are great for starting out your village, you’ll still need some additional pieces to fill out streets and other areas. This is where these sets come in handy.
Winter Village Filler Sets
LEGO Festive Gingerbread House (40809)

If you love adding a hint of whimsy (and sweetness!) to your winter village layout, the new LEGO Festive Gingerbread House (40809) might just be your next best “filler” find. Released for 2025, this micro-scale charmer folds out to reveal four cozy rooms, complete with a fireplace, little kitchen, bedroom, and even a spot to write your list to Santa. Santa himself even drops by as the included minifigure, sporting dual-molded boots and ready to deliver treats (or maybe sneak a few cookies himself).
With its candy-cane trim and sprinkle-dotted roof tiles, this set is perfect for that in-between village space craving a pop of color and playful detail. Display it closed up for a classic look, or hinge it open to create a cheeky gingerbread duplex. Either way, it’s a sweet addition for anyone looking to fill out their festive display without a ton of footprint.
LEGO 40746 Santa's Delivery Truck

New for 2024, the LEGO 40746 Santa’s Delivery Truck is a delightful addition for anyone looking to fill out their Winter Village setup with extra charm and authenticity. True to the spirit of “filler sets”, this build offers the perfect way to add a dose of festive storytelling to those little in-between spaces. Whether you’re imagining an elf making a last-minute delivery on snowy streets or just want to create a lively sense of holiday hustle and bustle, the delivery truck brings playability and visual interest to your layout.
With its seasonal details and compact footprint, it’s an ideal choice for LEGO fans aiming to expand their display with more movement, fun, and practical village touches.

2020 was the year it we finally received a gift with purchase that came with some motion! Meet the exclusive rotating Ice Rink featuring a booth and two minifigure skaters wearing... at that time... never-seen-before winter sweaters! For this set, you had to shell out at least $150 to bring it home, but it was too cute to pass up!
LEGO Winter Snowball Fight (40424)

If you’re just getting into building winter village, this is a great set. Released in 2020, you’ll get 2 minifigures in winter clothing, a snowman, snow catapult and a slope with snowmobile. The best part of this set is the skis and ski poles, along with the husky. Skis, poles and huskies can sometimes be hard to find, so definitely great that they’re in a readily available set.
You can pick this set up from Amazon.com.
LEGO Xtra Xmas Accessories (40368)

Have you ever wanted just a few more items to add accents to your winter village? LEGO thought of that and created a polybag just for you! This set comes with 2 gold fancy flourish fences, a husky, a snowman, snow shoes, cap, tree, 2 gifts and more.
You can pick this set up on Amazon.com.
LEGO Gingerbread House (40337)

If you spent any time building the minifigure scale LEGO Gingerbread House (10267), you're probably hoping to get your hands on the micro-scale version of the set, too! Released in 2019 as a free promo with qualifying purchase, we haven't picked it up yet, since we have to figure out what we can buy now for another $99 to qualify for the free promotional set... maybe some more minifigures!
Not on Amazon, but give it until later and you may find a few sets there.
LEGO Christmas Tree (40338)

Definitely one of my favorite promos so far, we picked this one up during the 2019 Black Friday sale. Not immediately noticeable from the image, if you turn the top of the tree, the train will also rotate underneath the tree.
If you missed this one, you'll definitely want to pick it up on Amazon.
LEGO Christmas Carousel (40293)

Set description:
Go around and around with the buildable Christmas Carousel, featuring a rotating decorated platform with a blue locomotive with 2 carriages and a buildable Christmas tree.
Released in 2018, this cute microscale carousel has some crank action associated with it. Turn the crank and the carousel moves around!
If we picked this one up, I don't remember. If not, I'm definitely going to have to rebrick it. I have some plans for our display. You can pick up yours on Amazon.
LEGO Christmas Ornament (5004934)

Released in 2018 with qualifying purchases in LEGO stores, I distinctly remember skipping this promotional Christmas Ornament when we had the chance to purchase. A bit on the deceptive side, the only things you get in this set are the 2 minifigures, a few toys, the gift and the tree topper... nothing else. As we already had a ton of minifigure kids in our build, we decided to pass on it. If you want the set, you can find it on Amazon.
LEGO Arctic Exploration Team (60191)

Released in 2018, the set is part of the LEGO City Arctic subtheme, but fits in well with a winter village theme. With a snow-shoeing photographer documentiong some new amazing discovery, the set comes with 3 minifigures, a snowmobile and the coveted husky.
If you need this set... and who doesn't, you can pick it up on Amazon!
LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Modular Winter Vacation (31080)

This is one of those sets, that while not an official Winter Village themed set, totally fits in with the winter theme. Released in 2018, the set comes with plenty of snowy details. It also has a super cute idea of a built in slope for the side of the house.
We had fun integrating this into our build. If you'd like to do the same, you can pick this one up on Amazon.

LEGO Christmas Tree (30186)

Small and sweet, this Christmas tree is a build with lots of details. As a Christmas polybag from 2013, you’ll have to check Amazon or eBay to get your hands on it. With only 51 pieces, this one is also one of those sets you can probably make from your own collection. You may only have issues finding a suitable tree topper, as the star is not an easily found part.
LEGO Christmas Set (3300014)

This set, released during the 2012 Brick Friday event, is an adorable one we wish we had in our village. I mean, who doesn't want a horse-drawn carriage in their village?
If you don't have this one, you can pick it up on Amazon.
LEGO Christmas Train (40034)

The LEGO Christmas Train is a nice set to use to create an area for kids to get their photos taken with Santa Claus. This set was out in 2012, however, the pieces are fairly common. If you don’t pick it up from Amazon.com, you can probably make it from your own sets.
LEGO Christmas Tree (40024)

Set description:
Rock around the blocks with a LEGO® Christmas Tree!
Not much of a description for this 2011 seasonal polybag, but that doesn't mean it wasn't worth picking up! As you can see, there aren't very many specialty parts, but if you want a sealed bag for your collection, you should be able to find one on Amazon.
