Hey folks! As you can see, some of my posts are missing images and links due to some host issues I experienced recently. I'm working through getting those corrected as quickly as I can. However, if you are looking at a page you'd like me to correct sooner rather than later, drop me a line with the title of the blog post and I will move it up in my list of fixes to make. Thanks for your help!

Otherwise known as “We got a LEGO 2014 Holiday VIP Shopping Event” invitation!

We didn’t even know about the invitations until we read about the event on The Brick Fan a few days ago. In all honesty, while I was excited about it, I wasn’t expecting to receive an invitation.

There is much speculation in the comments for that post about how someone gets an invite to the event. Some think it has to do with how much you spend. Others think it has to do with whether you give feedback to survey requests.

While we have purchased a ton of things this year, I really didn’t expect us to be within the spending range that triggers an invitation… So I decided to make a tally of what we’ve purchased… and it was a lot. It’s very possible we are on the list due to our spending. However, I did fill out more than a few feedback surveys (always excellent service, with the exception of one mini build evening where we just weren’t prepared for the reality of the situation.)

All this to say, I guess I don’t really know why we received our invitation since we fall under both potential triggers.

How about you? Do you know the invitation criteria and or did you receive an invitation?
