We had so much fun with the Monthly LEGO Club Meeting last month, I signed us up for this month as well. However, that didn’t stop us from going to this month’s free mini build! Last night’s LEGO monthly mini build was a robot. The Little Brick *loves* robots. Just say the word and she immediately Starts.

New Elements in Build-A-Minifigure Bar March 2015
Yesterday, we found ourselves back at the LEGO store and while we were there, one of the employees mentioned there were new elements in the Build-A-Minifigure bar! Of course, I had to go see for myself. What I found… blonde hair, black camera, tan satchel… (Don’t mind the blur…) Santa hat, pizza, pretzel,
February 2015 Monthly LEGO Club Meeting
When we went to this month’s mini build, we were invited to go to the Monthly LEGO Club Meeting. We’ve never been, so we thought “why not?” and signed up. Since I’ve never been to a club meeting, I can’t tell you what *normally* happens. For this one though, it consisted of a scavenger hunt
Friendly Food February Building Challenge MOC
I’ve been strolling around Flickr these past few days thinking of ideas for a MOC challenge I’m planning on entering next month. (More on that later.) While surfing, I came across the following Friendly Food February Building Challenge on the Heartlake Times blog. I’ve been sitting on two packages of the January promo of the LEGO Creator
Create Mosaics with LEGO “Style” Brick Photoshop Action
Last month, I stumbled across a LEGO mosaic ad campaign. While creating those mosaics is a lot of work… usually involving some eyeballing to create your image as a mosaic and then having to purchase all the bricks from the LEGO store, you could always go an easier route… If you just want to create a LEGO
LEGO Cinderella Glass Slipper Video
Have you seen the LEGO Cinderella Glass Slipper video on Facebook yet? With over 10 million likes, I doubt you’ve missed it! Just in case, though, here it is for your viewing pleasure: Post by LEGO. LEGO created the video as a tribute to the release of the much anticipated Disney’s Cinderella movie coming out
The LEGO Disney Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle That Could Have Been
Unless you’ve been living under a rock in the LEGO world, you probably know about the general disappointment when it comes to the LEGO Disney Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle. Criticized from its color to its size, the set has fallen very short of most LEGO enthusiasts expectations. So it wasn’t a surprise to see a LEGO fan submit an idea for a
Casing the Museum is Child’s Play – Security Review
I love to read LEGO set reviews that stray from the norm. So many reviews, including the few I’ve done, simply talk about the number of pieces in the set, the minifigures, what LEGO could have done better, etc… However, I recently ran across an excellent review on the LEGO City Museum Break-in (60008) set by
LEGO Valentines
This weekend, Mr. Family Brick reminded me about getting Valentine’s Day cards for The Little Brick… of course, I decided instead to create LEGO Valentines! It wasn’t my first go-to idea. I initially went to Pinterest to see what all the crafty people were making for with their kids. I had ideas for “Let’s stick
Building a “Stolen” LEGO MOC
Last year, when we really got into building the modulars, I found myself browsing eBay looking at other building instructions I could buy. As it turns out, I fell in love with a beautiful MOC called “Blue Corner Cafe“. Not thinking anything of it and assuming the seller was the actual creator of this wonderful
