Hey folks! As you can see, some of my posts are missing images and links due to some host issues I experienced recently. I'm working through getting those corrected as quickly as I can. However, if you are looking at a page you'd like me to correct sooner rather than later, drop me a line with the title of the blog post and I will move it up in my list of fixes to make. Thanks for your help!

If you remember a while ago, I had an email out to LEGO customer service to get a fix for the LEGO Wall-E neck/head swivel/droop issue. Last week, I read that LEGO was finally getting back to customers about the LEGO WALL-E neck fix.

With my family in town, I faintly remember seeing an email from LEGO customer service about the fix. However, it wasn’t until yesterday that I got a chance to take a look at it. As it turns out, I actually received 2 emails from them. The first one states the following:

“Great news! We’ve been looking into how we can improve our LEGO® Ideas 21303 WALL·E set and we have an update for you.

For those fans who feel LEGO WALL·E’s head moves a bit too freely, our designers have created an alternative build for the robot’s neck. In case you’d like to try out this alternative design, we’ve mailed you a small set of extra bricks and instructions free of charge. These should arrive within 10 working days.

If you’ve already built your LEGO WALL·E and you want to try this new design, simply follow the instructions and use the new bricks to rebuild the robot’s neck. Of course, if you’re happy with your robot as he is, you can just add these bricks to your LEGO collection.”

Then just 2 days later, I got the following follow-up:

“Good news!

Your LEGO® pieces are on their way and will be there in the next 7-10 working days. If your parts haven’t arrived in this time, check LEGO.com/service for updates.

These are the LEGO parts we’ve packed for you:

How many?

Part number

Technical name

1

6162839

Rework bag, 21303

We’re sending your pieces by regular mail to the following address…”

And the rest, you know is just address stuff.

So, if you called and voiced your concerns, you should be getting contacted by LEGO customer service soon. If you have received any notifications, I would follow up with them at LEGO.com/service.

Has anyone received the fix and applied it to their LEGO WALL-E? Are you happy with it or do you now prefer it the way it was?
