Hey folks! As you can see, some of my posts are missing images and links due to some host issues I experienced recently. I'm working through getting those corrected as quickly as I can. However, if you are looking at a page you'd like me to correct sooner rather than later, drop me a line with the title of the blog post and I will move it up in my list of fixes to make. Thanks for your help!

Back in October, we stopped by the LEGO store and saw they had the new LEGO Pick-a-Brick wall model up. We never pick them up, but it’s always fun to see what the LEGO designers have come up with each quarter.

LEGO Pick-a-Model Panda

Our store is starting with the Panda build. Again, our store is on the small side, so we only have space for one Pick-a-Model build at a time. If someone else has seen the other build, leave us a comment and let us know what it is in the comments section below.

The panda is only 35 pieces and these are more common than those in some of the other builds. I’m also not seeing any pieces that have never been made in a certain color, so you should be pretty safe to sort through your LEGO brick collection to build this little guy on your own.

Personally, I think he’s a little “blah”. I’m also still not that happy with the price point of the build. This one comes out to 0.14¢ a part, which is more expensive than the 0.10¢ average part price in non-licensed sets. Even so, this is one of the cheaper parts per price sets that have been on the wall this year.

If you want to give it a shot, you can download the LEGO Pick-a-Brick Wall Panda building instructions here.

And if you want to build an alternative to this panda build, you can try the panda build over at Frugal Fun for Boys.

Have you guys built this little guy yet? What did you think?

    1. Hi Amy – Apologies, this is the first question I’m seeing from you about this. Don’t know what happened to the other one!

Unfortunately LEGO doesn’t sell this anymore. You can try looking on eBay for the full build or seeing if you can buy the pieces from the online LEGO Pick-a-Brick section: https://www.lego.com/en-us/page/static/pick-a-brick

      Good hunting!
