LEGO Second Christmas 2020

As I mentioned in our last post, we spent New Years Eve planning out our LEGO purchases for the 1st. It’s the day I like to affectionately call “LEGO Second Christmas”. The day you get to pick up all the sets you didn’t get…and to spend all that Christmas moola you received on newly released sets.

I look forward to it every year.

We were fortunate enough to get there just in time to be part of the second wave of people let into the store. We missed first wave entry by 4 people, but that’s okay as it all worked out for us. All the sets we wanted were still available when we got in.

If you don’t remember which ones those were, the sets we picked up are:

Not on our list from yesterday’s post, but we also picked up the following sets:

Due to our large purchase amount, we were able to pick up the gift with purchase. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s this really sweet fan designed LEGO vintage car set:

Inspired by the winner of the LEGO Ideas’ Build a Vintage Car competition that received twice as many votes as the runner-up, this exclusive Aedelsten Deluxe is a 1950s style hardtop convertible complete with a surfboard and two minifigures. Look for this fun detail on the license plate: A is for Arne (the German fan who won) M is for Mel (the LEGO designer) and 0937 is “LEGO” written with upside-down numbers. It’s yours FREE with purchases over $85. 1/1-1/31 or while supplies last.*

We haven’t decided if we’re going to keep it our sell it, as it’s not really our style. Doesn’t seem to fit well in winter village. ;)

Finally, we also picked up the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Room of Requirement (75966) set. It was one of our purchases last year, so that we could use the Patronus’ (or is that Patronii ???) as ice sculptures in the winter village. Instead we gifted it to one of The Little Brick’s friends for her birthday. I was glad to be able to pick it up again.

And that is everything we picked up on the 1st.

What did you bring home for LEGO Second Christmas?
