Build the Amazing LEGO 4002023 Gingerbread House Advent Calendar Employee Gift

As you know I love showcasing advent calendars so I'm surprised we've never dived into the magic that is the LEGO 4002023 Gingerbread House Advent Calendar! It turns new and seasoned collector’s heads every year!

If you’ve ever dreamed about adding a splash of exclusivity to your winter decorations, this employee exclusive holiday gift is a guaranteed absolute showstopper.

What Makes the LEGO 4002023 Gingerbread House Advent Calendar So Special?

LEGO 4002023 isn’t just a gingerbread house - it’s a festive Advent Calendar packed with 1,464 pieces, 4 exclusive minifigs, and a bounty of tiles inspired by the retired Dots theme. This is the kind of set most of us only hear about, given out as an end-of-year treat to LEGO employees and partners (and popping up on resale sites if you’re lucky).

If you want to get a closer look, you should definitely check out the speed build video by AustrianBrickFan.

For those who just want the deets, the house itself is a stack of buildable drawers. Each drawer in the calendar brings a little December surprise - a mini-build or treat for every day leading up to the holidays:

As you can see, many of these builds are much like the ones you might get in the annual LEGO City Advent Calendars. If you'd like to take a closer look at them Rebrickable has a great listing of all the minibuilds and they also have the instructions for downloading!

Rare, Exclusive…And Hard to Find!

So, you’re thinking, "if I can’t easily buy it, maybe I can build it!" Not a bad idea but there are a few pieces that might give you some trouble. Here’s the scoop:

Exclusive Minifigure Prints

All 4 minifigs only appear in this set. That means those snazzy sweaters and bright-patterned torsos? You won’t see them anywhere else - making them highly sought after for "completion-ists".

Necessary to finish the build? Nope. Just a nice to have.

Sticker Sheet

The set comes with a special sticker sheet that adds all the winter whimsy to the build. However, you'll be hard pressed to find a place to purchase just the stickers.

If you don't have any problems with printing them out yourself, AI Looker on Facebook has shared the photo above that can be printed on sticker sheet.

Advent Calendar Drawers/Baseplates

Finally, those medium nougat colored panels and baseplates to make the calendar work are unique to this set. While similar shapes might exist elsewhere, the festive colors and designed mechanisms here are one-of-a-kind.

Our Thoughts

We wish we had one. So of course, its made our list of sets we'd like to rebuild...some day...with a long list of other sets. :)

So, what do you think? Would you go the extra mile to track down one of these rare LEGO pieces for your own Winter Village collection? Which exclusive minifig would you love to see in a new set?
