Tomorrow is the start date of the January 2016 LEGO Monthly Mini Build, the first monthly mini build of the new year. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s an adorable little polar bear build. It looks to be mainly bricks, but I do see a Technic ball and some speciality foot pieces. It doesn’t look to0 “plate-heavy”, so you can probably build it or something similar with your stash of LEGO bricks.
If you try it, I’d love to see how your build turned out!
Resources to build the January 2016 LEGO Monthly Mini Build Polar Bear
I normally have parts lists and instruction download information for you here, but something is going on with LEGO’s IT department this year. If you need a downloadable parts list, you can grab one from Brickset. You can also download the instructions for the January 2016 LEGO Monthly Mini Build Polar Bear here.
The LEGO website started the year with several hiccups and it seems the monthly mini build portion of the website is having issues as well. Instead of displaying the polar bear build, they’re displaying the alien build from January 2015. If anyone from LEGO is reading this blog, I’d love to come help maintain the website and roll out updates properly. A little GIT and production deployments never hurt anyone. ;)
Also, just a note on registration for the March 2016 LEGO monthly mini build registration. Registration opens on February 15th at 9:00am EST. In case you missed this news, for the 2016 year, you will need to be a VIP member in order to register your child for the monthly mini builds! So, if you don’t have a VIP card, go get one now.
We send out updates via email when registration is open for the LEGO Monthly Mini Builds. Subscribe to our email list below and you will be sure not to miss out on the registration announcement later next month:
