Where In the World is The Family Brick?

It’s funny you should ask. Last year, we spent the last half saying good bye to our sweet 4-legged friend of 13 years. He was a wonderful little boy who brought us so much joy and laughter. It made for a slightly sad holiday.

With his passing, we quickly realized we are a dog family. We need to have a shadow to journey with us through our rotations around the sun. In February, we added this beautiful little boy as a new member of our family. That was when we were reminded the logistics of babysitting a 2 month old puppy. Needing to go out every 2 hours was just too much for us to participate in any shows, including Atlanta Brick Con, which occurs right here in our backyard.

While we didn’t display our winter wonderland moc, we helped out the PeachLUG AFOL group. We also worked the door for the organizers. And that was about all we did with our AFOL group this year.

Since then, this little 11-pound “terrier mix” boy we adopted from the Atlanta Humane Society has grown. He is now 60+ pounds of potential Irish Wolfhound!

Bit of a surprise for us, but we can’t imagine living without him now… and he’s only 1 year old!

Puppies really are like toddlers. They become your full-time job. You can’t do anything else but stare at them and make sure they don’t do something dumb.

Now that the puppy craziness is dying down, we are not as obsessed with keeping him away from things he shouldn’t be in. We have breathing room and have started thinking about finally working on our winter village again.

And… if you’ve read this long, you’re probably wondering how the “Where’s Waldo” reference fits in with this post. It doesn’t, with the exception that I just happened to find this really cool “Where’s Wally/Waldo?” LEGO Ideas project submission that I thought was pretty cool. It’s in review at the moment, but still worth checking out.

Can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to recently! So…

Welcome back to us!
