Turn This Rustic One Piece Set Into a Charming LEGO Manger Scene

Who would have thought a LEGO One Piece set would possibly make a great LEGO manger scene? Apparently, plenty of LEGO winter village fans!

While I was hanging out in the Fans of LEGO Winter Village Facebook group, I ran across a post with discussion around converting the LEGO One Piece Windmill Village Hut (75636) into a LEGO manger scene.

Why This Set Works So Well

On review, the natural wood tones, open walls, and simple structure practically invite reimagining - the roof and frame have a rustic vibe that fits right in with classic nativity builds. (And we would know since we've researched many ideas for creating our own nativity scene.)

You can also swap out the themed minifigs for a few collected Winter Village or Christmas-compatible characters (think shepherds, wise men, Mary, and Joseph) would really bring it to life. (If you're struggling with finding those pieces, check out the older LEGO Prince of Persia themed sets for a few ideas. Add a few sheep or even a donkey if those pieces are hanging around, and suddenly you’ve created a memorable, brick-built nativity for the holiday season!

But What Do I Do With The Other Pieces?

Repurpose them. The tropical details - like the dock, palmtree, and boat - can be set aside for other builds, giving the layout plenty of flexibility for holiday storytelling. Fans in the thread showed just how adaptable the set can be, with talk of ordering extra bricks, picking up minifigs, and mixing parts from other collections to make the most out of it.
