It’s Trains! Trains! Trains! 10th Anniversary Celebration this year! You may not know what I’m talking about, but this is a train show that DixieLug has been participating at for several years. We’ve participated yearly since 2016.
I know, I know… it’s happening this weekend and I probably didn’t give you much time to plan, but hopefully you can still make it out to the event. That’s why I sent out my newsletter just as soon as I got this post up!
Description of Trains! Trains! Trains!
If you’ve never heard of Trains! Trains! Trains!, you can read more about it here:
We are excited to introduce the Southern Museum Lego® Building Challenge as our headline activity this year. The goal will be to construct a train-related model. There will also be a Lego® free-play area for visitors to make their own creations and mount them to vehicle chassis for a trip down a ramp.
We will feature brand new layouts and perennial favorites that offer attendees the opportunity to interact with and operate a variety of trains.
Our General Emporium will more than double in size for the event with new train items, lots of children’s books, and exquisite, new-to-the-museum gifts, toys, and collectibles, perfect for train enthusiasts, kids, and fans of history!
The sights and sounds of steam will also return to Kennesaw in the form of a 1920 steam-powered tractor built by the Advance-Rumley Thresher Company.
Additional parking for the event is available at Adams Park (2600 Park Drive), and a free shuttle will be operating both days.
***All internet ticket purchases will be entered into a raffle for a children’s wooden train set. One entry per family. Two winners will be chosen randomly and notified via email.***
