Yes, it’s that time again… October LEGO VIP Double Points time!
This time around, we’ve been holding off so we could buy the following sets. I’ve added affiliate links, in case your interested in looking at them and want to help us out (with no additional cost to you) at the same time:
We don’t have a lot we’re looking at this double points period, as The Disney Castle takes a big chunk of our spending money. We also purchased most of the LEGO Friends Amusement Park theme in August for my birthday. (Which we have yet to build any of, ’cause I just don’t seem to have the time!)
If you haven’t been to the main Shop@Home page lately, LEGO is featuring the following two sets:
LEGO Winter Holiday Train Set (10254)
As I mentioned, we are picking this one up. However, if you haven’t seen the LEGO Winter Holiday Train Set (10254) yet, here is a product picture from the Shop@Home site:
LEGO Star Wars Death Star (75159)
The other item that released yesterday, with the Rogue One day celebration at LEGO, is the new LEGO Star Wars Death Star (75159). For those of you that haven’t gotten your hands on the original LEGO Star Wars Death Star set, you can buy this new set now. It has increased in price, but the majority of that is due to inflation.
I still say it’s a shame the set wasn’t improved up on a little bit more. Suffice to say, I don’t believe we will be buying the set this year so I can hang it in an attack scene over my Christmas tree.
If someone does that, PLEASE send me a photo. I can’t get my husband to agree on that just yet…
LEGO Exclusive 24-in-1 Holiday Countdown Advent Calendar
The final thing you will want to make sure you do is purchase at least $99 worth of product. When you do that, you receive the free 24-in-1 Holiday Countdown calendar promo!
This calendar looks very promising and I’m hoping it’s structured in such a way that you can tear down and keep for the following year. If not, we’ll have to look at how to store old advent calendars for building in later years. Does that sound like a post you guys would want to read?
