Hey folks! As you can see, some of my posts are missing images and links due to some host issues I experienced recently. I'm working through getting those corrected as quickly as I can. However, if you are looking at a page you'd like me to correct sooner rather than later, drop me a line with the title of the blog post and I will move it up in my list of fixes to make. Thanks for your help!

Boy, do I have a treat for you guys today! I’ve been getting lots of requests for the LEGO Americana Roadshow building instructions. I only went to one event, therefore, all I had to post was the instructions for The White House build.

I’ve found it hard to locate instructions for all the other builds. So I decided to put out a few feelers to see if I could find someone who could provide me with the instructions to post on the website. I’m happy to say my efforts paid off! Yay!

What is the LEGO Americana Roadshow

If you haven’t been to the Roadshow and/or don’t know what I’m talking about, you can check out my post on the LEGO Americana Roadshow. For those of you that just want the quick gist, it is basically a display of 10 prominent historical monuments & locations in the United States. The Roadshow travels to different malls across the country every summer.

The displays are really an awesome sight to see, so if you haven’t been to a Roadshow and you’re on the fence, I highly recommend going. Even though school has started in these parts, the tour is actually still running and there are four more stops left this year through the month of October. You should try to visit one of these malls to check it out:

While the Roadshow is a LEGO sponsored event, it is actually not run by LEGO. It is run by General Growth Properties, a management company for high quality retail properties in the US. Basically, these guys run malls, which is why the Roadshow gets displayed in mall locales.

So, I just want to give a quick shout out to my contact over at GGP for providing these instructions for me. I… and my  readers… appreciate it!

  1. My favorite Americana roadshow to build was the Whitehouse. I rarely buy white bricks because they seem to discolor quickly, so I made the Whitehouse in black and a second one in red and transparent red.

  2. Not sure why my comments didn’t show from a few months back…

Took my family to WDC last spring and when we got home, we “commemorated” our trip by building the 6 WDC monuments shown here. Got the bricks from Bricklink and had scanned copies of the instructions. But thank you for the clear/original PDFs. I downloaded all of them. Now we need to go to NYC, Philly and Boston so we can have an reason to build the rest. :)
