Have you ever thought about making a home for your LEGO minifigure? That was our last DixieLUG group challenge. I learned there’s actually a build standard for a LEGO minifigure habitat!
What is a LEGO Minifigure Habitat?
If you’ve never come across these before, minifigure habitats are basically a moment in the life of a minifigure. Vignettes of where they live or what they do.
The scene is created in a small build with 3 sides. Each habitat has to be exact, so that it can be stacked with other habitats for easy display.
Our Habitat Build
While I had the idea to build by myself, the moment I mentioned building for the challenge, The Little Brick decided she wanted to build with me. After a few false starts, we ended up with this cute blogger build:
It’s not quite where I had intended to go. However, I’d say we did a great job of collaborating on this build!
Robots and bakers and cakes, oh my!
Other Habitat Builds by DixieLUG
DixieLUG hit it out of the park with some really great builds. Let me show you the ones that won the LUG challenge below:
Itching for a closer look? The ones in the first photo are on display at the North Point Mall LEGO store. The ones in the second photo are displayed at the Sugarloaf Mall.
They’ll be in both stores through the middle of March.

If you have, I would love to see what you’ve built.
