Hey folks! As you can see, some of my posts are missing images and links due to some host issues I experienced recently. I'm working through getting those corrected as quickly as I can. However, if you are looking at a page you'd like me to correct sooner rather than later, drop me a line with the title of the blog post and I will move it up in my list of fixes to make. Thanks for your help!

Have you tried the new Airjitzu sets from LEGO? If you’re interested in the sets and getting a chance to play with one without making a purchase, LEGO Stores are having an Airjitzu Play event in stores from August 31 – November 1:

The flyer is a little hard to read, so it states:

You can learn the ancient art of Airjitzu! Ask a Brick Specialist and you’ll be able to build, rip and soar with your favorite LEGO Ninjago characters.

Our Airjitzu Play Time

We’ve had some Airjitzu play time and I must say they are a blast! My husband picked up 3 of the new sets last month:

White is daddy’s, the girl’s is gold and mine is the green one.

I wasn’t sure I was going to like these sets. I love oriental styled MOCs and the architecture in Ninjago sets truly draws me in, but I had my doubts about them.

However, once I built the handle, I was pretty hooked. The best part of the sets came when it was actually time to play with them.

I was worried the sets wouldn’t hold up to actual play use, but we took ours outside to our cul-de-sac for some test runs. The flying saucer piece and minifigure enclosing plastic dome stood up to tons of tough wear. We saw them bounce around on the asphalt, but they never popped open. The minifigure guy did come off out of his position, but remained in relatively the same place.

There’s a little bit of road rash on the sets, but that’s only to be expected.

Oh and they also come with a ton of additional accessories to swap out for your Ninjago minifigure warrior. We highly recommend these awesome little sets. For a $9.99 investment, they provide hours of fun. You can pick them up from Amazon.

Now it’s your turn. Have you played with the new Airjitzu sets? What do you think about them?
