Hey folks! As you can see, some of my posts are missing images and links due to some host issues I experienced recently. I'm working through getting those corrected as quickly as I can. One of the things that keeps the mania of LEGO alive is they retire their sets from active sale after a certain time period. Once you get into LEGO, you will notice they have a pattern of retiring and releasing sets. The end of the year is one of those times were they retire sets in anticipation of releasing new ones on January 1st. If this is all news to you, let me catch you up and give you the latest list of LEGO sets retiring year end 2016.

There are quite a few sets lining up for the chopping block. As you can see from the image, many are already sold out on the Shop@Home website, so I’m also including affiliate links to Amazon. (As always no additional cost to you and helpful to us.)

LEGO Exclusives

These sets are/were initially only found in the LEGO store. However, as resellers pick them up, you will start seeing them on Amazon and eBay.

 

LEGO Ideas

These sets came to be through the LEGO ideas program.

 

LEGO Minifigures

The LEGO Disney Series Minifigures is the latest series of minifigures getting retired. You can still get them on Shop@Home.

 

LEGO Star Wars

Finally, here are the Star wars sets saying bye-bye at the end of the year.

And you will want to note, as of today, while you can purchase Obi-Wan and Luke Skywalker on the Shop@Home sites, they are on backorder. There is no guarantee for Christmas delivery.
