Hey folks! As you can see, some of my posts are missing images and links due to some host issues I experienced recently. I'm working through getting those corrected as quickly as I can. However, if you are looking at a page you'd like me to correct sooner rather than later, drop me a line with the title of the blog post and I will move it up in my list of fixes to make. Thanks for your help!

For those of you Atlanta locals who missed this event last year, you should consider coming out to the “Trains! Trains! Trains!” event at Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History on January 28th and 29th. DixieLUG is exhibiting again with our train setup and layout, which is never the same!

If you haven’t heard about the event, here is the description from the museum’s event website:

The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History will host the seventh annual installment of its flagship Trains, Trains, Trains event on Saturday, January 28 and Sunday, January 29. This must-see event for families in the area will be held from 9:30am to 5:00pm both days.

This year’s event will feature several new and expanded train layouts. Modular modelers from around the Southeast will join forces to create some of the biggest layouts this event has seen. Athens Bend Track, whose N-scale layout in the Cobb Gallery last year was a huge hit, is teaming up with South Carolina Bend Track to fill the Gallery with an even bigger, even more detailed layout! Last year’s layout featured everything from a model railroad yard to a model drive-in theater to a fight between a miniature King Kong and a miniature T-Rex, so make sure you stop in to see all the neat details – who knows what you’ll find?

Trains, Trains, Trains 2017 will bring back some of last year’s favorite bluegrass musicians, an expanded General Emporium gift shop with new shirts and toys, and several interactive layouts for kids of all ages to enjoy!

Museum admission for the event is $7.50 for adults, $6.50 for seniors, $5.50 for children ages 4-12, and free for children three and under as well as Museum members.

While we won’t be brining our Winter Village MOC to the DixieLUG display, we will be there with a new MOC of our own we haven’t displayed here on the website.

Have you been to the Trains, Trains, Trains show before? Will you be attending this year?
