What We Opened On Christmas Day

Hey folks! As you can see, some of my posts are missing images and links due to some host issues I experienced recently. I'm working through getting those corrected as quickly as I can. However, if you are looking at a page you'd like me to correct sooner rather than later, drop me a line with the title of the blog post and I will move it up in my list of fixes to make. Thanks for your help!

Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas day with lots of family, food and fun!

Our Christmas was a little “LEGO-lite”. The big present around here was an Our Generation doll from Target. Looks just like the girl and she’s been asking for one for a while. So when she came home with a letter to Santa where she expected to see an “American Girl” doll under the Christmas tree, we knew exactly what one of her grandmother’s should get her.

She is super happy with her doll, but has asked to open her big LEGO set every day since. We still have our advent calendar items on the kitchen table, so we have some cleaning up to do before we open up her new LEGO set.

LEGO Friends Heartlake Food Market 41108

For the girl, we picked up the LEGO Friends Heartlake Food Market (41108) earlier this year. We intended to give it to her sooner to build, but we had an “attitude” incident, so we kept the build from her. She forgot about it and so did we, until she circled the same set in the Wal-mart Toy circular earlier this month.

We were super excited to find out we would have one less present to buy.

LEGO Time Teacher 9005039

We also picked up the LEGO Time Teacher (9005039) set. The girl has been asking for a watch *and* she’s really interested in learning how to tell time. We thought this would be the perfect gift for her to help support those interests.

As for the hubby and I, we gave each other a polybag.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Ultimate Spider Man Super Jumper Polybag Set 30305

He bought me the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man Super Jumper (30305) polybag.

LEGO Star Wars First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter 30276

I bought him the LEGO Star Wars First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter  (30276) polybag. Honestly, I would rather of had his polybag over mine. Something about spider-like builds creep me out…

Other than that, we didn’t have any other LEGO sets this Christmas.

Was your Chrismas filled with lots of LEGO sets? Tell us what you got below!

  1. Argh! I had a huge list, but accidentally closed the screen! Suffice to say we’re swimming in both regular LEGO and DUPLO!

    1. Aw bummer! Hate when that happens.

I was tempted to *swim* in LEGO Duplo, but really I just wanted the superhero minifigs. :D

  2. I got the Architecture series Brandenburg Gate and the Technic Cargo Plane/hovercraft. I’m only about 1/4 through building the hovercraft, let alone dis-assembling to rebuild as the plane…

    1. Ooh… sounds like fun! I had never heard of the Brandenburg Gate set until I ran across its plate in the buckets we sorted. Excited to try and piece it together.
